The entrance to Wormsloe Historic Site near Savannah, Georgia is via one of the most magnificent avenues of live oaks anywhere. At over 1.5 miles long, the avenue is planted with over 400 stately live oak trees. Planted in the 1890s, it alone is worth the entrance fee. In fact, reviews of the overall site are mixed but they all agree on the majesty of this wondrous sight.
