Two from the archives for today’s post. These colorful lobster floats are the markers for the pots. I had been shooting the boats in Boothbay Harbor on a foggy morning. These floats were hanging on the side of a building I passed on the walk back to my car. The fog had begun to lift but there was still quite a considerable cloud cover, perfect for these sorts of shots. The natural soft light helped to create these deeply saturated images showing all the bright colors and detail in the fishing net that was part of the display.

There is something very New England about these floats that compel photographers to them Mark. I always feel that attraction whenever I am near them.
