Fall is one of most photographers’ favorite times. The autumn colors are always a great subject to aim the camera at. Most of the time it is the palette of the leaves on the trees that are the main focus. However, the season brings may other wonderful sights which perfectly sum up this time of year. Pumpkins abound throughout the US but it is only in the South West that they are paired with the red of the chili pepper garlands as seen in these two images. These two shots were captured at a roadside fruit and vegetable stand on the main road between Santa fe and Taos in New Mexico. The perfect way the owners had laid out the combination of the oranges and reds proved to be too good to pass up. Keep your eyes open for these magical vignettes. There is more to point the camera at than the big vista of the trees at this time of the year no matter which part of the country you are in.
