Located at the southern end of Old San Juan Puerto Rico, El Arsenal de la Puntilla Capilla was built in 1791 as a Spanish naval station. Later the building became a citadel, which contained a storage room, offices, living sectors, workshops, a coast guard, kitchens and its own chapel. This was the last place to house Spanish military forces after the US victory in the Spanish-American War. It features a combination of architectural styles and is now home to three exposition galleries.
Although not open during our visit, the security guard allows us to walk around the outside which provided ample opportunity to capture the brightly colored architecture. This image is one of my favorites with its simple composition and contrasts between both the primary colors (yellow, green and black) colors as well as the two palm trees (nature) and the three black windows (man-made).

Really digging this colorful shot, Mark. I agree, the contrast in colors sets this off very nicely. This would make a nice book cover or poster.
